Why we started Fairhaven Finders

We built Fairhaven Finders to fix the stressful, confusing process families face when a loved one needs care. Today, we’ve grown into a dynamic transition service that does it all—placement, estates, and home sales—so families finally have a single, trusted guide who handles the details and gets things done. We know how hard this phase can be and our goal is to give the family space to spend time with or to grieve the loss of a loved one.

How We Are Different

Something we are so excited to offer to our clients is accessibility. We have never and will never have the families we serve pay us for our services. We have no upfront costs or minimums for our estate sale services.

What is Fairhaven to Us

In Acts 27:8, Paul’s ship struggled against the wind until it reached a place called Fair Havens — a calm harbor offering rest and safety before continuing the journey.

That name carries deep meaning even today. Life brings storms — changes, loss, and uncertainty — but just as Paul found refuge along a difficult voyage, we too can find a “fair haven” for moments of calm, care, and guidance.

The time it takes to organize an estate sale depends on the size and complexity of the estate. However, Fairhaven Finders LLC can typically organize and conduct a sale within 2-4 weeks of initial contact.

What if we don’t know whether we need a facility or just more help at home?

That’s completely normal.

Together, we’ll look at your loved one’s needs and determine whether aging in place or moving to a care home is the safest option. We offer free aging in place walk throughs, where we visit the home and make suggestions on how to keep the home safer for longer.

Can you help if our loved one has dementia or complex medical needs?

Absolutely. I work with Adult Family Homes and care providers experienced in dementia, memory care, and higher-level medical needs.

What makes your service different from others?

I provide personalized, compassionate, hands-on guidance, not automated referrals.

Families get support from someone who truly listens and wants the best for their loved one. We are a small business, meaning we get to truly connect and pour into each of the families we work with.

What if our family disagrees about what to do?

This is extremely common.

I help families navigate conversations, provide objective guidance, and make sure everyone feels heard while prioritizing safety and well-being.

Can you help us tour homes?

Yes — I can schedule tours, attend them with you, and help you understand what to look for and ask. Making sure the home is the right fit for each family is extremely important to me, there is an interview process for both the family and the facilities that I schedule tours for, to make sure it is a good match for the care that is needed.

Can you help with Medicaid or financial questions?

Yes — I can help you understand Medicaid eligibility, private pay options, and long-term care insurance, and direct you to trusted financial resources.

Can you help families with cognitive or behavioral challenges?

Yes — I work with homes that specialize in:

• behavioral and emotional needs
